As part of its commitment to ongoing engagement and meaningful consultation, Canada is providing the following summary of the Request for Proposals (RFP) to Indigenous peoples. The intent of sharing this document is to inform, and gain insights and guidance related to Indigenous inclusion in the High Frequency Rail (HFR) project. The RFP is currently in development and input received will be used to help shape the document released to bidders. We appreciate the input of Indigenous peoples and invite comments by July 10, 2023. This milestone allows for feedback to inform the final RFP document.

VIA HFR, in collaboration with Transport Canada and Public Services and Procurement Canada, hosted two information sessions on the Request for Proposal process. One session was held in English and one in French. The on-line webinar was intended for Indigenous peoples interested in learning more about the procurement process, reviewing the RFP Summary and asking questions.
